Your Xenses Park ticket at a glance

  • Your ticket: Admission covers Xenses’ two activity paths and 14 fantastic scenarios, from optical illusions and pitch-dark environments to water, mud, and aerial experiences.
  • Two paths: Path of Feeling plays with your senses through Xensatorium, caves, nature, and illusions; Path of Doing brings Slip, Bird Flight, Riverlaxing, and Sludgery.
  • Standout experiences: Walk through the gravity-defying Town, navigate Xensatorium in complete darkness, fly horizontally on Bird Flight, float through Riverlaxing, and get covered in mud at Sludgery.
  • Plan around 5 hours: Xenses is intentionally a half-day park, so you can experience both paths without committing an entire day.
  • What’s included: Lockers, toilets, showers, Wi-Fi, ATM access, and parking are available; food, beverages, photography, and souvenirs cost extra.
  • Good to know: The recommended minimum age is 5. Bring a swimsuit, water shoes, towel, and dry clothes; individual activities have additional participation restrictions.
  • Smart upgrade: Add transportation for an easier journey from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Riviera Maya, without planning separate transfers.

What to expect at Xenses Park

Pinwheel
1/6

Start at the Pinwheel

Present your ticket at the park booths, then head into the Pinwheel, the central starting point for the Xenses experience. Store your belongings in the included lockers before setting off. With water, mud and sensory activities ahead, this is also the time to change into swimwear and get your water shoes ready.

Choose between two sensory paths

From the Pinwheel, the experience unfolds across the Path of Feeling and Path of Doing. The first relies heavily on your senses and perception, while the second brings together optical illusions and physical activities. Together, the two circuits form a roughly five-hour visit, so plan to experience both rather than treating Xenses like a conventional ride park.

Navigate without your sight

On the Path of Feeling, scale shifts in the Way of Dwarfs and Giants before Xensatorium takes sight out of the equation entirely. You’ll move through different ecosystems in pitch darkness, then continue through the Underground Arteries Labyrinth, The Eden and Xitric Garden, relying more heavily on touch, sound and smell.

Question what your eyes tell you

The Path of Doing changes the pace. Walk through the perspective-bending Town, descend the Slip, glide above the landscape on Bird Flight, float along the warm salt-water current of Riverlaxing, and finish covered head to toe in mud at Sludgerie before rinsing off at the Natural Xpa.

Stop for photos and a breather

Between the main activities, explore Xenses' visual scenarios, including the Mirror Labyrinth, Kaleidoscopes, Tunnel of Hearts, Upside Down House and Vortex. When you need a pause, head to The Breather or stop at Xnack for food and drinks. Dining is available at an additional cost and is not included with standard admission.

Rinse off before you leave

After Riverlaxing, Sludgerie and the park's water-based activities, return to the facilities to shower, change and collect your belongings from the lockers. A complete visit takes about five hours, making Xenses easier to fit into a morning or afternoon than Grupo Xcaret's full-day parks.

Things to know before booking your Xenses Park tickets

Booking window

  • Book 1–3 weeks ahead if your dates are fixed. Xenses offers 10% off when booked 7–20 days ahead and 15% off when booked 21+ days ahead, making advance booking useful for saving rather than simply avoiding sell-outs.
  • Your coupon is valid for 1 year from purchase. Date changes must be requested at least 24 hours before your visit and cannot be made on the day of your visit.

Ticket basics

  • One admission covers the complete Xenses experience. Your ticket includes approximately 5 hours at the park, with access to the Path of Feeling, Path of Doing, and 14 main scenarios. You don't need separate tickets for either path.
  • Food and photos are separate. Standard admission does not include food, drinks, or the park's photo package, so factor these extras into your budget if you want them.

The big decision: With or without transportation

  • Choose admission only if you're driving, taking a taxi, or want complete control over when you arrive and leave. Free parking is available at Xenses.
  • Add transportation if you prefer scheduled transport from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or Riviera Maya instead of arranging the journey yourself. Your park access remains the same either way.

Add-ons & upgrades

  • There is no Express or fast-track tier for the standard Xenses experience, so you don't need to compare different levels of ride or activity access.
  • The Xenses Photo Pass is optional. It gives you photos captured at designated photo points around the park but is not included with standard admission unless your selected ticket specifically says so.

Transfers & logistics

  • Transfers trade flexibility for convenience. Transportation-inclusive bookings operate around scheduled pickup and return times, while admission-only tickets let you plan your own arrival and departure.
  • If you add transportation and later change your visit date, the new date is also subject to transportation availability.

Discounts & ways to save

  • Children aged 5–11 pay 75% of the adult admission price, while children aged 0–4 enter free. Proof of age may be required.
  • Children under 12 who are taller than 1.40m (4.6ft) must present official identification to receive the child rate. For adults, booking 21+ days ahead gives the highest published advance-purchase discount.

Policies & restrictions

  • Check activity restrictions before booking for children. For Slip and Bird Flight, children are recommended to be at least 1.10m (3.6ft) tall and participants should know how to swim. Bird Flight has a 30–136kg (66–300lb) weight requirement.
  • Health restrictions may affect how much of the park you can experience. Certain activities are not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with epilepsy, heart or back conditions, recent surgery, claustrophobia, fear of heights, or susceptibility to dizziness.

Things to do at Xenses Park

Play with the photo scenarios

Pose inside the Tunnel of Hearts, kaleidoscopes, Vortex, Upside Down House and other optical-illusion setups around the park. These scenarios are designed around perspective and perception rather than rides.

Pro tip: Explore the Pinwheel scenarios before getting wet on the Path of Doing.

Explore the underground landscape

After Xensatorium, continue through the Labyrinth of Underground Arteries, where caves, rock formations, tree roots and small cenotes recreate the Riviera Maya's underground environment.

Pro tip: Don't rush this transition; it's one of the park's most atmospheric walkthroughs.

Slow down at The Eden

Step out of the underground route into The Eden, a natural setting with waterfalls, a small lake, fish, macaws and flamingos. It provides a quieter contrast to Xenses' perception-based activities.

Pro tip: Use this section as a breather before continuing to Xitric Garden.

Try lemonade at Xitric Garden

Engage your senses of smell and taste at Xitric Garden, surrounded by lemon scents, trees and endemic vegetation. Its signature experience is drinking refreshing lemonade directly from a specially designed tree.

Pro tip: Don't skip it simply because it isn't a ride; it's part of the Path of Feeling.

Take a hammock break

Pause at The Breather, where hammocks offer a proper rest between activities, or cool down at Xplash before continuing along the Path of Doing.

Pro tip: Save this stop for when you need a break rather than visiting immediately after entering.

Eat and browse for souvenirs

Stop at Xnack or The Grill for made-to-order food at an additional cost, then browse Giftery for Xenses souvenirs including clothing, games, mugs and accessories.

Pro tip: Food packages can be purchased at the ticket booths before entering Xenses.

Visiting Xenses Park with kids?

Wondering if Xenses works for younger travelers? The park recommends a minimum age of 5, and families can mix sensory experiences with more active water-based attractions.

  • Plenty to explore: Way of Dwarfs and Giants, optical illusions, the Town, and other visual scenarios give kids experiences beyond conventional rides.
  • Check activity requirements: Slip and Bird Flight aren't recommended for children under 4.2ft (about 1.28m) or guests who cannot swim. Bird Flight also requires a 30–136kg weight range.
  • Know the intense experiences: Xensatorium takes place in complete darkness, so consider whether your child is comfortable with dark sensory environments before entering.
  • Easy reset between activities: Included lockers, showers and restrooms make changing after the park's water and mud experiences easier.
  • Plan for around five hours: Xenses is designed as a half-day experience, making it easier to fit around family plans than a full-day park.

Plan your visit to Xenses Park

Xenses uses its main visitor entrance at the park complex on Federal Highway 307. Present your booking coupon at the ticket booths for validation before entering. Self-drivers arrive via the visitor parking area, while guests using official transportation are dropped at the park complex.

There is no need to present multiple park-entry options because separate visitor gates are not established in the available official information.

Visitors with disabilities, wheelchair users, and senior guests can visit Xenses, but not every experience is wheelchair accessible. Some attractions involve uneven movement, water, darkness, or physical participation.

Guests requiring assistance are advised to visit with a companion who can support them. Check individual activity restrictions before booking, particularly if mobility limitations affect participation.

Food is available inside Xenses but is not included with standard admission.

  • Xnack: Casual made-to-order food, snacks, and drinks.
  • The Grill: Additional freshly prepared food options.

If you plan to eat during your roughly five-hour visit, factor dining into your budget rather than expecting an all-inclusive park ticket.

Stop at Giftery, Xenses’ on-site souvenir shop, for park-branded clothing, swimwear, mugs, games, accessories, stationery, and other keepsakes.

If you plan to shop, leave it until after the water and mud activities so you aren't carrying purchases through the Path of Doing.

Tips & guidelines

  • Dress for getting wet: Wear a swimsuit, comfortable clothes, and water shoes, and bring a towel plus a complete change of clothes. Several Path of Doing activities involve water or mud.
  • Keep wet activities together: Riverlaxing, Sludgery, Slip, and Bird Flight are concentrated within the Path of Doing. Keeping your change of clothes for after these activities avoids repeatedly getting changed.
  • Know your limits before Xensatorium: Xensatorium takes place in total darkness. Guests uncomfortable with claustrophobia, darkness, or sensory disorientation should consider whether this experience is suitable before entering.
  • Check water-activity restrictions: Slip and Bird Flight include water 3.6–5.6ft deep, and non-swimmers and children under 4.2ft are advised not to participate. Life jackets are mandatory for water activities.
  • Check Bird Flight limits: Bird Flight is recommended from age 5, with a minimum weight of 30kg (66lb) and maximum of 136kg (299lb). Check these limits before queuing.
  • Skip handheld camera gear: Avoid using selfie sticks, floating camera poles, or sport-camera handlers during activities. Use the park's designated photo opportunities instead where appropriate.
  • Keep payment handy: Food, souvenirs, and the photo package cost extra. Bring cash or a credit card if you plan to purchase any of them during your visit.
  • Smoking is restricted: Xenses operates smoke- and emission-free spaces, with smoking permitted only in designated areas subject to the park's restrictions.
